Verizon Customers: A $20 Credit May Be Waiting If You Were Affected by Yesterday’s Outage

If you are one of Verizon Customers and experienced issues with Verizon yesterday, you may be eligible for a $20 account credit.

Verizon confirmed there was a major outage and acknowledged they didn’t meet their usual service standards. As a way to recognize the inconvenience and customers’ time, they are offering a $20 credit to those affected.

What Verizon says:

“Yesterday, we did not meet the standard of excellence our customers expect and that we expect of ourselves. To help provide some relief to those affected, we will give them a $20 account credit that can be easily redeemed by logging into the myVerizon app to accept. On average, this covers multiple days of service.”

How to get the credit:

  • Log in to the myVerizon app
  • Accept the $20 credit once it appears
  • Customers will receive a text message when the credit is available
  • Business customers will be contacted directly by Verizon

Verizon also stated that the credit isn’t meant to fully make up for the outage, but rather to acknowledge the disruption and show that it matters. If you’re still experiencing issues, they recommend restarting your device to reconnect to the network.
