Notes

How to Make Fluffy Waffles From Your Mix (Per Batch)
When you’re ready to make waffles:
1 ½ cups homemade waffle mix
1 cup buttermilk (or milk)
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
½ teaspoon vanilla (optional)
Whisk the wet ingredients together, then gently stir in the dry mix. Don’t overmix—lumps are totally fine. Cook according to your waffle iron’s directions until golden and fluffy.
No buttermilk?
Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice or white vinegar to 1 cup milk and let it sit for 5 minutes. Instant buttermilk substitute.
Easy Flavor Add-Ins (Optional but Fun)
You can keep the mix plain and customize each batch with:
Cinnamon or pumpkin spice
Mini chocolate chips
Blueberries or diced strawberries
A splash of maple syrup in the batter
Lemon zest + vanilla for a brighter flavor
This makes the same mix feel brand new every time you use it.
