Ingredients

  • For the Peach Syrup:
  • 2 ripe peaches sliced
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup honey or sugar
  • For the Mocktail:
  • 4 cups brewed black tea chilled
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Ice
  • Peach slices for garnish
  • Fresh mint optional

Instructions

  • Step 1: Make the Peach Syrup
  • Add the peaches, water, and honey (or sugar) to a small saucepan.
  • Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The peaches should soften and release their juices.
  • Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer. Press gently on the peaches to extract as much flavor as possible.
  • Allow the syrup to cool completely.
  • Step 2: Brew the Tea
  • Brew 4 cups of black tea according to package directions.
  • Let the tea cool completely before using. For best results, refrigerate for at least an hour.
  • Step 3: Mix the Mocktail
  • In a large pitcher, combine:
  • Chilled tea
  • Peach syrup
  • Lemon juice
  • Stir well.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if desired.
  • Step 4: Serve
  • Fill glasses with ice.
  • Pour the peach iced tea mixture over the ice.
  • Garnish with fresh peach slices and mint leaves if desired.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
