Roasted Turkey

This Roasted Turkey Breast is simple, flavorful, and surprisingly easy to make. Juicy on the inside with a golden, seasoned outside, it’s the kind of main dish that feels like a full Sunday dinner without all the extra work.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey breast 4–6 lbs
  • 4 tbsp butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh or dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth for the pan

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Pat turkey dry and place in a roasting pan
  • Mix butter, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper
  • Rub mixture all over (and under the skin if possible)
  • Pour chicken broth into the bottom of the pan
  • Roast uncovered for about 20 minutes per pound
  • (Usually 1.5–2 hours total)
  • Baste halfway through
  • Cook until internal temp reaches 165°F
  • Let rest 10–15 minutes before slicing

Notes

Pro tip: If the top starts browning too fast, loosely cover with foil.
